Often, without even realizing it, we hold our breath when life feels overwhelming. In today’s busy world, filled with constant stimuli, there’s not always space to truly feel what’s going on inside us. Holding our breath becomes the body’s clever way of pacing itself.
During a breathwork session, you make a conscious choice to let your breath flow, no matter what feelings come up. By allowing your breath to move freely, you give your body space to speak to you. Revealing where you may have stopped listening—perhaps because something felt too overwhelming, too intense, or wasn’t welcomed in your environment.
The breath is a beautiful and powerful tool to help you start listening (again). Not through effort or force, but through surrender and trust in the fact that your body knows exactly what it needs.
